Had Enough of KVM Switches and Windows PCs too for that Matter

I have two iMac desktops and Justine has a Mac Airbook. These computers do most of the business admin, provide access to my University studies material, Justine’s work and a little bit of play like writing this blog. I also have a number of netbook PC’s running Windows 7 doing odd little jobs like acting as camera servers or doing APRS duties etc. While my Macs continue to do everyday what they have always done, the PCs just stop doing what they do, for no apparent reason and then flatly refuse to ever do it again. The list of things is way too numerous to mention suffice to say that two of them now flatly refuse to speak to the KVM switch that has been allowing screen and keyboard sharing now for month. I tried everything to resolve the issue including replacing the KVM switch with another and replacing cables etc etc etc, but all to no avail.

HI Terry. I just installed Mouse Without Borders..not tried it yet. Also issues now with using my Apple Keyboard and mouse with the PC- though not before. Looks to me like USB port fails to enumerate due to power reduction- insufficient power supply from PC (netbook). Got it working at last. Perhaps the unpowered KVM switch draws too much power as well.
