First QSO

I was running a 4WD tour of Cape York. I had received my new F call, so now all there was to do was to put out my first call.

I decided to scan the 40 meter band from my mobile rig. I was at Chili Beach on Cape York, and received a great signal from VK4BQ running a net. The net was the Coral Coast Net, and Gordon was the operator. I made my first contact with Gordon and received a pretty good signal report.

I was stoked to make my first contact on Ham Radio, and I am still semi regular participant on the Coral Coast Net especially when I am traveling.
